A-MAC was the builder of this $7,000,000, 81 unit townhouse development located in Highland Park Michigan. Two city blocks were fenced in and secured. All underground infrastructure including water, sewer, electrical, and cable was installed. Each of the two and three bedroom townhomes features a full basement, central air-conditioning, and through unit design creating both front and rear entrances. The site work and construction of all 17 individual buildings was completed in less then a year and ahead of schedule by 4 months.
A-MAC was contracted by Palmer Park Associates and Palmer Lodge LLC to perform infrastructure upgrades to building wide systems in 8 buildings and renovate approximately 350 individual units and the each building's common areas. Using a Hybrid construction manager/general contractor delivery method, A-MAC performed inspections and assessments on the individual building systems, developed repair or replacement budgets and scopes of work. Bid packages were developed and subcontracts were negotiated for specific trades like roofs, elevators, and boiler replacements, while in-house construction crews were deployed for interior renovations and finishes. This allowed the owner to avoid the standard General Contractor mark up and contingency/hidden conditions cost load on these large trade packages, yet still have A-MAC manage and coordinate the work.
A-MAC was contracted by the City of Detroit to act as the "turnkey developer" of these new townhomes that are part of the Villages of Parkside public housing complex. Under this contract A-MAC was responsible for every aspect of the project, from initial planning and design, value engineering construction, and delivery to the individual residents for the Detroit’s Public Housing Commission.
A-MAC was contracted by Greenfield Detroit LLC to perform infrastructure upgrades to building wide systems for 10 buildings and renovate approximately 200 individual units and the each building's common areas. Using a Hybrid construction manager/general contractor delivery method, A-MAC performed inspections and assessments on the individual building systems, developed repair or replacement budgets and scopes of work. Bid packages were developed and subcontracts were negotiated for specific trades like roofs, paving, plumbing, electrical, and boiler replacements, while in-house construction crews were deployed for interior renovations, rough and finish carpentry, and window replacement. This allowed the owner to avoid the standard General Contractor mark up and contingency/hidden conditions cost load on these large trade packages, yet still have A-MAC manage and coordinate the work.
